Fortune 100 Consumer Packaged Goods Company

Situation

After years of decentralization through the creation of vertical market silos the Chairman/CEO of the company senior realized that there was a lost opportunity in sharing valuable strategic insights and lessons learned at the senior most levels of the organization.

Objective

Create and facilitate “occasions” during which division heads and senior managers from around the world would be encouraged to share ideas, work in team and simply get to know each other.

Approach

We developed a series of team building workshops focused on information sharing.  Groups of 15-20 business heads and senior managers were be split into smaller groups and assigned a set of contrived challenges that not only required them to “swap” information within their own group and with other groups, but also to collaborate to successfully meet assigned objectives.  Each “swap session” was debriefed to extract common experiences and themes and relate them back to the participants regular business lives.

Outcome

One successful trial program turned into a series that were conducted throughout the United States.Several divisions have since hired Fusion Associates to develop and execute similar workshops throughout the United States.

DiSC Activation

Client

Fortune 100 Aerospace Company

Situation

This company has been utilizing various leading personality and work style assessment programs for over a decade, but felt like they were activating the valuable information derived from the process.

Objective

Develop a DiSC workshop that answered the nagging question “So we know our work style types, now what?”.  Facilitate a series of workshops put real life context around the DiSC® work style assessment. the inculcates an awareness of the unique value of each of these styles provides a set of strategies for maximizing productivity by leveraging them.

Approach

We developed a workshop agenda that started with DiSC as a foundation and built into an experiential learning program that helped highlight the real life differences in work styles and how each has specific value, but most importantly, how when combined they compliment each other to create organizational synergy. Outcome:  One successful trial program turned into a series that were conducted throughout the United States.  Several divisions have since hired Fusion Associates to develop and execute similar workshops throughout the United States.

Team Building Event

Client

Top 5 Retail Bank

Situation

The real estate department of this rapidly expanding organization was low morale within there middle management teams.  The key issue was infighting and fighting between the real estate group and other departments involved in the development and opening of new branches.

Objective

Break the tension within the group.  Build empathy and appreciation for each team members unique skill sets and contributions.  Have fun!

Approach:

Fusion created a series of fund and competitive challenges that encouraged everyone to participate.  The challenges were intentionally designed to create situations where a combination of different, but complimentary skill sets would be needed to complete tasks and/or solve problems.  The introductory presentation was designed to ensure that all team members participated.  A formal debrief was conducted to elicit feedback from the group and relate their experiences, reactions and attitudes back to their work at the bank.

Outcome

The group bonded quickly and completed most challenges as a team.  A lot of fun was had, the tension was broken and the client reports that a more congenial and collaborative atmosphere pervaded in the weeks following the event!
