Behavioral research suggests that the most effective people are those that understand themselves, both their strengths and their weaknesses, so they can develop strategies to meet the demands of their environment.
DiSC® speaks to behavior styles– how a person tends to behave and perform in their work environment (“how we act”). Behavior styles offer insight as to how a person responds to problems or challenges, how they deal with people, how they react to and work in their environment and how they respond to rules and procedures. Certain behavior styles compliment each other while others conflict.
DiSC® lets managers and co-workers understand where each other are coming from and enable team members to answer the question, “Why does someone behave the way they do?” This understanding helps guide people in their interactions with other team members and will facilitate:
- Effective Communication
- Better Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Minimizing Unproductive Conflict
- Strong Working Relationships
- High-Performance Teams
- Management Effectiveness
- The Transition of “Managers” of People to “Leaders” of People
DiSC gives team members a common language to use when interacting with each other.

The DiSC® Workshop
An assessment and profiling tool by itself provides information. However, within the context of a workshop your team will develop the knowledge and skills to perform at its best.
Participants can complete a DiSC® profiling tool on-line or at the start of the workshop. The workshop is facilitated around understanding the different behavior styles and DiSC® dimensions. Interactive team building initiatives provide the participants the opportunity to work with and practice their newly acquired knowledge.
Workshops can be designed for a half-day or a full-day. A full-day provides more opportunity to participate in additional activities that will help increase and solidify the learning.
